Capacity Allocation of the Hybrid Wind-PV-Storage System Based on Improved Fish Swarm Optimization Algorithm

Hybrid Wind-PV-storage system is of great importance to increase solar and wind energy integration. In order to ensure its economic optimization based on continuous and reliable power supply, the artificial fish swarm algorithm based on improved parameters is applied to propose a model for optimizing energy storage unit capacity in the paper. The contribution of this paper is the life cycle cost (LCC) model, constructed to minimize the life cycle cost of Hybrid Wind-PV-Storage System based on the constraint, which is the loss of power supply probability (LPSP). The optimization model is applied to the Hybrid Wind-PV-Storage System in southern China. The optimization results are analyzed from the two aspects of both economy and reliability. The result shows that the life cycle cost optimized by the improved algorithm is reduced by 49.95% on average compared to the previous algorithm. In addition, the LPSP optimized results show better performance than that of the previous algorithm, which provides a reference to industrious solutions.
