Multibody Dynamics Modeling and Experimental Study of Kink Resistance of CTO Guidewires

The kink resistance test method and mechanical analysis of coronary chronic total occlusion (CTO) guidewires are important techniques to improve the performance of guidewire design. In order to test the mechanical properties of guidewires and verify the theoretical method of multi-body kinetic model, this paper proposes a set of kink resistance test equipment based on modular design. This paper firstly designs the kink resistance test equipment according to the kink resistance performance index of the guidewire, and then uses the equipment to test the kink resistance of various types of guidewires, and finally establishes a multi-body kinetic model for the kink resistance of the guidewire, and verifies the feasibility of the guidewire model by comparing the experimental data with the simulation data. The experimental results show that the kink resistance of different types of guidewires under different working conditions is different.
