Implementation of Rotor Flux-Oriented Control on Traction System of Autonomous Electric Locomotives

The objective of this paper is to present the problem of implementing the rotor flux-oriented control through hysteresis current controllers (RFOC _H) on electric traction systems for autonomous locomotives, and it is based on the research of the authors within a POC project carried out in the years 2017–2021. Foundation of the RFOC using hysteresis current controllers and its implementation on an industrial experimental stand is accompanied by experimental results that confirm the correctness and validity of the adopted solution.
