Research and Design Microgrid using Ocean Wave Energy for Electric Vehicles Load on Islands in Vietnam

The demand for Energy for development is increasing while fossil energy sources are gradually exhausted, causing many negative environmental impacts. The research and use of new and renewable energy sources is an inevitable trend, including wave energy. Therefore, the study of wave energy conversion has many meanings to develop power stations for coastal areas and islands, providing electricity for signal buoys, anchored ships, and tourist islands. Besides, electrification in transportation ushered in the explosion of electric vehicles in the world. This number of Electric Vehicles (EVs) significantly impacts the power supply to the grid. This paper builds a Microgrid model with integrated electric vehicles based on wind and wave energy sources. Several renewable energy forecasting and management algorithms help evaluate the feasibility of practical deployment for this energy source. Simulating the rules and characteristics of wave levels in Unity 3D software interact with the Microgrid (MG) model in MATLAB.
