Smart Industrial Motor Monitoring with IoT-Enabled Photovoltaic System

The industry depends heavily on induction machines, as there is a high requirement for them to operate safely and reliably. Conventional power sources, although reliable, may be expensive and harmful to the environment when used in industrial motor settings. In addition, manual inspection techniques for motor condition monitoring are labor-intensive and prone to mistakes, which may lead to unscheduled breakdowns and downtime. In an effort to overcome such drawbacks, this study presents a new idea for combining a photovoltaic (PV) system with an induction motor (IM), together with the internet of things (IoT)-based monitoring technologies. The suggested solution integrates the power-producing capabilities of the PV system with monitoring sensors provided by the IoT to deal with these issues. The system's use of solar power results in large savings over time and less impact on the environment by reducing the use of fossil fuels. Real-time information on the motor's temperature, vibration, and power consumption is gathered by the IoT-based monitoring devices indefinitely. In order to find problems, estimate maintenance requirements, and examine for abnormalities, this data is processed and analyzed by sophisticated algorithms. The Matlab results demonstrate the output results of the PV system and IM.
