Vision for smart grid interoperability: standards based integration of e-mobility, prosumer, and grid

Smart grids consist of interconnected equipment managed by many actors such as network operators, energy producers and energy consumers. There has been a lot of research on how to run the grid more efficiently by interconnecting the various energy management systems of the different actors. Doing this at scale requires that these systems can communicate in an interoperable manner. This paper presents a snapshot of the data and communications standards landscape and how it is expected to develop in the future.
