Drowsy Driver Alert System Using OpenCV

Drowsy driving is a significant reason for road accidents that can lead to serious injuries and fatalities. To address this issue, a drowsy driver alert system using OpenCV is proposed. The system uses computer vision algorithms to analyze facial features and detect signs of drowsiness in drivers. It generates visual and auditory alerts to prompt the driver to take necessary actions. In this research work, the design and implementation of the drowsy driver alert system is presented using OpenCV. The study describes the system architecture, which includes a camera, microcontroller, sensors, computer vision algorithms, an alert system, and an alert customization interface. Also provides a detailed explanation of the working of the system, including image processing and feature extraction algorithms used to detect signs of drowsiness.
