PlaceIT: The Placement Auxiliary

PlaceIT is a placement management database system that is used to optimize the process of procuring and managing placement-related data. The main objective is to create a user-friendly web platform where all relevant data can be stored, managed and safely processed. It is a platform where users can easily interact with an elegant user interface to perform their required tasks with a click of their preferred device connected through a browser. The application hosted on a cloud server is built using Django web framework as a backend end server application and ReactJs as a frontend application framework, it is built by following the REST principle. The platform provides the feature to create and maintain visiting records of companies and the placements provided during that visit. Students can create and share their profiles for storing and representing their data to TPO (placement officers), POs (placement coordinators), companies and general users(students). Instead of using basic Excel form to collect data the platform upgrades the process to an advanced system with features such as student elimination according to company requirements and sorting entities according to data submitted. The reports which are obtained using the platform give analytical insights to authorities concerned with placement.
