A Comprehensive Review of Image Steganography Techniques

Numerous photographs are shared on public channels due to the quick development of multimedia technology. As a result, there has been a lot of interest in offering secure image transmission across open channels. Multimedia data is frequently secured using encryption methods. The main motive of this study is to deliver a complete description of various steganography approaches & performance in terms of capacity, security, and robustness. The review includes a classification of the different steganography methods, including spatial domain, frequency domain, and transform domain techniques. Each method studied providing ability to go through any image processing operations, security, robustness, and ability to detect the hidden information. To assess the benefits and drawbacks of the various image steganography methods now in use, extensive comparisons have been made between them. For improved stego-medium, blockchain-based steganography approaches are also reviewed because now we are moving towards this field. In future it can be used to better understand the various techniques available and to make choices about which methods are best suited for their specific needs.
