Innovative Approaches for Accurate User Monitoring

The increasing prevalence of malware and viruses in computer systems, as well as the emergence of zero-day vulnerabilities, have made traditional security analysis methods ineffective. To address these challenges, this work proposes a new approach to security analysis based on the collection of user behavior data. The goal is to gather information about how users interact with their computer systems in order to better understand potential security threats and develop more effective security solutions. This work discusses the importance of user behavior data in security analysis and explores the various methods for collecting this information, including file system analysis, API call analysis, and direct observation. All the techniques discussed are done with intent of holding user privacy and can be processed locally. The results of this study provide insights into the potential of user behavior data for enhancing the security of computer systems and highlight the need for further research in this area.
