A Predictive Routing Algorithm Combined with Indoor Propagation Model

The structures of buildings in cities are complex and diverse, and traditional cellular networks cannot achieve full coverage of indoor networks. To meet the needs of fire emergency communication, this paper designs an indoor fire communication system based on mesh network technology. The system uses integrated routing function fire emergency lights in the building as mesh routers, and communication devices worn by firefighters as mesh terminals, constructing a hybrid wireless mesh network (WMN). When the mesh terminal nodes move in the complex electromagnetic environment inside the building, the building structure such as walls causes shadow fading of wireless signals, leading to rapid changes in network topology, which in turn causes poor stability of traditional networking protocols and cannot meet the real-time and reliability requirements of fire communication. This paper combines mobile location, indoor electromagnetic wave propagation loss, and link duration prediction technology to design an improved protocol based on ZRP(LSP-ZRP). Before the wireless communication link deteriorates, the routing is switched in advance, improving the real-time and reliability of indoor communication links. Simulation results show that the proposed routing protocol reduces end-to-end delay by 22.8%, improves delivery rate by 23.6%, and increases throughput by 12.5% compared to ZRP.
