Enhancing Electric Vehicle Adoption in India: The Role of Pole-Mounted Charging Stations

This study presents a cost-effective and efficient solution for installing e-vehicle charging infrastructure in India. The proposed solution is based on the concept of using public electricity to create a network of charging stations that are accessible to all. A pole-mounted charging station prototype has been developed as a reference design for setting up charging infrastructure. This prototype incorporates the use of public electricity to provide a reliable source of power for charging electric vehicles. The charging station is designed to be simple, durable, and cost-effective, and its aesthetic design allows for easy integration into existing urban and suburban environments. This study describes the design and implementation of the pole-mounted charging station prototype, as well as the regulatory and permitting by making charging infrastructure more accessible and cost-effective, this research work will help to promote the adoption of electric vehicles and reduce air pollution in India.
