Exploratory Data Analysis of WhatsApp group chat

WhatsApp application is used by people for communication through private and group messaging, as well as video calling. WhatsApp chats consist of various kinds of conversations held among groups of people. This chat consists of various topics. Irrespective of whichever topic the conversation is based on, our developed code can be applied to obtain a better understanding of the data. The proposed system aims to provide an in-depth analysis of this data which is provided by WhatsApp chats. We explore and find various insights from the group chat active users, frequently used words, and top-used emojis. Many other interesting insights have also been found and results are represented as graphs. The proposed system also aims to perform behavioural analysis of the top users of a group chat. It categorizes the messages into 7 emotions- joy, anger, sadness, fear, disgust, shame and guilt. This is done using a Machine Learning classifier, LinearSVC Classifier where a dataset is trained and tested later. A dashboard is developed for better user interface and visualization using graphs.
