A Compact Tri Band Rocket Shaped MIMO Antenna Using ACS Feeding Technique for WLAN and WiMAX Applications

This article proposes a tri-band Rocket shaped MIMO antenna with ACS feeding technique. The design of MIMO antenna consists of 4 Rocket shaped monopole elements, which are placed in a orthogonal manner. We obtain high isolation $\lt -20 dB$. It resonates from 2.13 GHz to 2.27 GHz, 3.32 GHz to 3.67 GHz and 4.64 GHz to 6.45 GHz. Rocket shaped antenna has planar slotted ground of area $4 \times 4 mm^{2}$. The overall size of proposed monopole element is $22 \times 14 \times 1.6 mm^{3}$ and four element MIMO is $50 \times 50 \times 1.6 mm^{3}$. Compact size and triband frequency of design potentially good for WLAN and WiMAX applications. The simulated gain and efficiency of proposed design is 5.5 dB and 98 %. All simulations are carried by EM simulation software tool.
