Smart Monitoring Of PWM Controlled Wind Energy Conversion System Based On IOT

Efficient utilization of wind energy has become crucial for sustainable power generation. This paper establishes a comprehensive system for harnessing wind power by integrating cascaded fuzzy Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm for effective grid operation together with Internet of Things (IoT) technology for grid monitoring. The cascaded fuzzy MPPT algorithm is employed to track the optimal operating point of wind turbine, thereby maximizing the power extracted from wind. This algorithm adjusts the turbine's rotor speed by controlling the pitch angle and generator torque, ensuring optimal power generation under varying wind conditions. The Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) rectifier is used to convert AC supply generated by the wind turbine into DC, thereby stabilized Dc supply is achieved. The attained DC supply with the utilization of 1 ϕ Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) is responsible for converting the DC power into high-quality AC suitable for grid integration. Therefore, the proposed work results in achieving effective grid synchronization. Furthermore, to enable real-time monitoring and control, an IoT -based system is implemented, facilitating remote monitoring of grid voltage, current, and the operating parameters of the MPPT algorithm. This allows for efficient management and maintenance of the wind power system, optimizing its performance and ensuring grid reliability. The proposed work is simulated in MATLAB to validate the outcomes of proposed wind power grid system and Adafruit Software to display the IoT outcomes.
