On the Outage Probability of Multi-RIS Assisted Two-Way Communication System with RIS Selection

Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) is considered as a potential key technology for the next generation with reliable application prospects. We consider a multi- RIS-assisted two-way wireless communication system. Based on the multiple RISs selection, the uplink and downlink of RIS-assisted communication are considered, and the RIS whose link has the largest SINR is selected for communication. In addition, the closed-form expression for the outage probability (OP) under the RIS selection is derived and the correctness of the theoretical value is verified using Monte Carlo. Furthermore, the effects of phase error and loop interference (LI) on the system are also analyzed.
