Development of High Gain Reflectarray Over Wide Bandwidth Using Fitting Method

This paper presents an effective method for enhancing and maintaining the gain of the reflectarray antenna over the given millimeter-wave bandwidth. In particular, the proposed technique revolves around the “ideal graph” fitting method. Initially, the obtained phase responses of designed unit cells (UCs) were compared to the provided ideal theoretical phase values. Then, two reflectarray antennas were developed employing the evaluated polynomial- and ring-shaped UCs. As a consequence, it was explored that the former possesses greater bandwidth with the maximum gain.
