Seventeen Level Switched Capacitor Boost inverter for Renewable Energy Sources

MLIs now have several benefits over traditional two-level inverters, including lower dv/dt, less electromagnetic induction, as well as These characteristics, which include producing more levels in the output, a quasi-sinusoidal output waveform, a lower switching frequency, higher efficiency, and less Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), have led to their widespread use in a variety of industrial applications such as locomotives, mixers, and so on. The primary challenge in using multilevel configurations is the increased number of power devices and circuit design, which increases overall control complexity and costs. This paper proposes an asymmetric switched capacitor 17L boost inverter (SC17LBI) for use with renewable energy sources. It consists of 2 DC sources and three capacitors with decreasing of switch count for generating 17L inverter output. Compared with other topologies, this structure has a smaller number of switches with better efficiency. The proposed SCMLI will be validating through simulation results and also comparing with the existing SCMLI topologies.
