Smart IOT based pothole detection and filling system

Potholes are a type of road problem that can harm vehicles, impede drivers' ability to drive safely, and in extreme situations can induce traffic accidents. Additionally, it takes a lot of time and effort to detect potholes accurately, and some techniques fail to effectively monitor multiple potholes at once. In order to identify numerous potholes, our suggested model uses Canny edge detection, a time-saving image processing technique that provides precise data and prevents accidents. In India, plastics are now used in a variety of products, including bags, sachets, and covers for food packaging. Therefore, a common issue in today's society is uncollected waste material. Consequently, effective waste management of plastic trash is necessary to maintain a clean environment. Our approach offers a way to fill the pothole into two levels in order to solve the plastic waste issue. The second layer of the road material will be built of concrete to fill the pothole, while the first layer of the pothole being comprised of plastic trash so that it may be recycled. This concept can be used by government organizations as well as road corporation's agencies, to make it easier for authorities locally to take additional measures. The suggested method gives them exact information about the current condition of a city's roads in specific regions in real time.
