A Distributed Authentication Protocol for 5G Satellite Converged Network

The development of 5G communication technology has led to widespread attention to mobile communication technology based on 5G satellite integrated networks. However, the centralized authentication protocol in traditional satellite networks is not suitable for LEO satellite networks with frequent link switching. This paper proposes a fast and efficient authentication protocol for 5G satellite converged networks by combining the 5G AKA authentication scheme and distributed system consensus scheme. Simulation results show that the proposed protocol exhibits significant advantages in performance with less communication overhead for access and handover authentication scenarios in the 5G satellite converged network while ensuring communication security.
