Keeping Capstone Project Current with Technology

Integrating current technology to a senior capstone project helps students to accomplish educational objectives. This paper introduces a software system design project on an embedded system that uses face-recognition to implement an automatic door opener (ADO). The system is designed to help avoid transmissible disease via hands-free approach using machine learning technology. Students went far and beyond what they have learned in the curriculum and created an artificial intelligent system with real life application.
