Difference Compensation Based synchronous timing technology for Digital Converter Stations-in PEON

To meet the increasing demands of synergistic smart grid services of large bandwidth, accurate time synchronization is supposed to be guaranteed. Due to the heterogeneity of devices and multi-layer domain of resource distribution, it is difficult to accurately synchronize services on the receiving end. To solve these problems, this article proposes the synchronous timing scheme based on difference compensation (SPDTC) in the digital converter stations in passive elastic optical network (PEON) consisting of the elastic optical network (EON) with the wavelength division multiplexing-passive optical network (WDM-PON). And the SPDTC sets priority and delay tolerance mechanisms to improve the quality of service (QoS). Simulation results show that the SPDTC guarantees time synchronous at the receiving end and lowers transmission delay and blocking probability.
