Global solution for /spl mu/ synthesis in state-space

Based on linear matrix inequalities, we consider the /spl mu/ synthesis for a general plant in time domain. In a state-space the LMI solvable criterion for the /spl mu/ synthesis is proposed and proved when the scalar matrix D is constant. Then the design approach of the global optimal /spl mu/ controller is obtained. It can be constructed via the solutions of three linear matrix inequalities. The design method given in this paper is rather conservative compared with the H/sup /spl infin// synthesis.
