Spectrum Sensing Using Binary Hypothesis Test Comparing with Energy Detection Based Method to Improve the Probability of Detection

Finding the most efficient channel in the cognitive radio network and raising the likelihood of detection are the main goals of this study. To do this, a binary hypothesis test and an energy detection-based strategy will be compared. Materials and Procedures In this study, two groups are taken into account, each with a sample size of 20 (n=20) drawn from a variety of users with an 80% pre-test power (G-power). Results: The probability of detecting the novel binary hypothesis is high compared to the probability of detecting energy at low SNR (-5db) (-2db). The reason why the sensing performance has improved is because of the significance level of 0.161 (p > 0.05). The experimental findings demonstrate that the newly proposed binary hypothesis test procedure significantly increases detection probability when the SNR is low.
