High-Q resonating all-dielectric metamaterial for refractive index sensing

We report excitation of a high-Q Fano resonance at 1544.7 nm using the symmetry-breaking approach in an all-dielectric metamaterial and investigated its refractive index sensing performance. Our novel structures indicate high sensitivity (~120 nm per refractive index unit (RIU)) and Figure-of-Merit>-62.17 RIU-1.
