ADS-B Cybersecurity and Autonomy – A-network

Adequate situational awareness of pilots and reliable cyber secure data link between pilots and air traffic control staff are the main factors of the of aircraft flights safety. ADS-B technologies were designed as the most rational means to obtain situational awareness. The practical experience of ADS-B 1090ES system has proved its helplessness to provide either reliability or required air traffic security modern level. The effective solution to obtain adequate situational awareness, ADS-B cyber security and infrastructural autonomy is proposed using cryptographic means implementation as a self - organizing networking mechanism for ADS-B signals interchange. The cryptographic means should support public key algorithm for confidentially and authenticated network's common session key distribution and symmetric algorithm for ADS-B signals interchange in a broadcast mode.
