Research and design of video brightness extraction system based on FPGA embedded platform

This paper designs a video luminance extraction system based on FPGA embedded development platform for the diversification of current lighting needs and the rapid development of FPGA, which can control the luminance change of the light board according to the luminance information of the video signal and realize the synchronous display of the video and the light board. This paper firstly introduces the overall design and related principles of the system, and then tests the system to verify the synchronization of the lamp board display and the display of the monitor. In this paper, based on localdimming algorithm, Gamma correction algorithm is added to enhance the differentiation of video brightness, while the 74HC595 chip is used to complete the serial and parallel conversion of output signal, which improves the output speed of video and saves IO resources. This paper also makes use of IoT technology and uses ADV7611 module as input interface to expand the function of IO, and adds remote voice control and app control function to make the design more in line with social needs.
