Change Detection of Terrain Using Satellite Imagery

Change detection is finding differences in images over time. The scope for change detection has increased significantly in the past few years because of its wide applications in different domains. Some of the major applications include surveillance, analyzing infrastructure development, vegetation change. In this review paper, we present different methods used for change detection and compare them on various aspects like results, advantages and disadvantages. After further analysis, Siamese network is chosen as the best approach and in-depth research summarization is done on it. Furthermore, the study also focuses on use of segmentation in various change detection methods. Finally, various evaluation measures are examined and contrasted to identify the most useful one.
