Renaissance: A Smart Mobile Application Featuring Elderly People Care and Assistance System for the Bangladeshi Senior Citizens

To live a life of high quality, elderly people require proper care, attention, and assistance for their day-to-day life activities. Due to a lack of appropriate systems and infrastructure, at present, the elderly people of Bangladesh do not get satisfactory elderly care. The current elderly care facilities mainly rely on offline-based human support. There is no proper online based system for several elderly people care and assistance facilities such as old home search and booking, hospital search, doctor appointment booking, helping hand recruitment, daily medicine, and food intake reminder system, social gatherings, and emergency contact support, recreation, money transfer, police help, and old age allowance apply facilities. To annihilate the current elderly care-related problems, this paper comes up with a smart senior citizen assistance mobile application featuring old home search and booking, helping hand search and booking, old age allowance application, emergency, and family member contact, hospital search, doctor appointments, recreation, medicine remainder, money transfer, and police help facilities. The user feedback results showed that more than 80% of users submitted admirable comments regarding the application features and 75% of users dispatched superb comments regarding the proposed applications’ problem-solving, user requirement satisfaction, and economic promises.
