Water Quality Monitoring System using IoT and Cloud

Lakes and ponds are critical for sustaining ecosystems and providing a source of water. Unfortunately, these bodies of water are often contaminated due to the discharge of chemicals and waste. This pollution can cause waterborne illnesses in humans and animals and disrupt the ecosystem’s lifecycle. The infrequency of water quality testing, typically conducted only once per year, means that it is not certain that the drinking water is safe. To address this issue, an IOT-based AWQMS system is proposed. The system would use a variety of sensors and hardware components to measure required parameters of water. The collected data would be sent to a cloud infrastructure for storage in a database and real-time dashboard maintenance. If water quality falls below acceptable levels, the system would alert the relevant authorities to take action. This solution would provide continuous monitoring of water quality, alerting authorities immediately if any issues arise. By preventing the consumption of contaminated water, the system could reduce the risk of waterborne diseases and safeguard the ecosystem.
