A Review on Optimal Power Scheduling Techniques

The electricity supply system is currently operated with a major contribution of grid power and a small percentage of Renewable Energy Sources(RES) which is used according to availability and demand. But the significance of RES in the power market is increasing and it can impact energy sharing greatly in the future. Electric Vehicles(EVs) are becoming more popular and can be considered as an essential load. Proper scheduling of load and RES plays a vital role in minimizing the cost of electricity and peak demand. This paper aims to review different techniques to optimally schedule power, compare various optimization algorithms based on their objectives, and discuss future trends. To gain a general understanding of the global implications of research on this topic, a bibliometric study is also carried out.
