Optimal Capacity Allocation Method of Multi-types of Energy Storage for Wind Power Plant

In order to determine the installed capacity of the wind farm energy storage system and the power curve, an optimal capacity allocation algorithm for a multiple types of energy storage system consisting of lithium batteries, flywheels, supercapacitors is proposed according to the their complementary and operating characteristics. The algorithm can realize the consumption of wind power and minimize the economic cost. Firstly, a wind power model is constructed considering of wind power output fluctuation smoothing and wind power consumption, and the models and constraints of energy storage is established based on operational and economic characteristics. Secondly, the impact of different weighting factors on the capacity allocation results is analyzed and the better values of the weighting factors are identified. Finally, on this basis, considering the wind power consumption, economic cost, power compensation and load-peak difference, construct the objective function and find the optimal solution, and use the result to allocate the capacity of the multiple types of energy storage.
