32GHz Frequency Space Traveling-Wave Tubes for Deep Space Exploration TH4606/THL32070C / THL32150C

In the frame of deep space exploration missions and more particularly for the planet Venus, Thales AVS is developing two new Traveling-Wave Tubes (TWT) for the 32GHz frequency band. The first program VERITAS in partnership with CNES and JPL consists in developing a 70W output power conduction cooled TWT named THL32070C. The second program EnVision in partnership with ESA, consists in developing a 150W output power conduction cooled TWT named THL32150C. Thales AVS has a strong heritage with 32 GHz products for deep space exploration missions with the TH4606 model. This paper describes the main technical features of this 32 GHz family.
