Investigating the Efficacy of Thermal Imaging as a Tool to Detect Stress in Domestic Animals

The primary objective of this paper is to investigate the efficacy of thermal imaging as a tool to detect stress in non-human (animals). Specifically, this study focuses on domestic animals and the insights that temperature readings can provide regarding their physiological state. Using the thermal infrared cameras, we will examine the reactions of animals in various scenarios, while ensuring that ethical considerations are adhered to. By analyzing the animals' temperature before and after the scenarios, this study aims to establish a correlation between temperature fluctuations and stress. Ultimately, these findings have the potential to serve as a valuable indicator of an animal's behavior and whether they have experienced any stress.
