Remote Learning of A Full Product Development Cycle Project Class

Remote learning has many advantages over traditional face-to-face teaching but also has many challenges, including implementing lab classes online. This work-inprogress paper describes a high-quality remote learning EE senior project lab class going through a full product development cycle. First, it started with a particular logistic administration, including student group division, class discussion, and presentation. The second part was a unique three-phase design project, including a circuit simulation, PCB board layout design, and 3D package printing. Lastly, a student feedback survey reflected an 83% positive design experience. These students considered the project well suited for the online teaching modality.
