Persistence of Mobility Changes in Post-COVID Times: Evidence from Poland

This study is an inquiry into how the change in mobility patterns during the COVID-19 pandemic persists even after the state of epidemics has formally ended and most of the restrictions have been lifted. The data used for analyses was collected in October 2022 via a polling agency based on randomly selected sample of Polish adults. We estimate a logistic regression model with persistence in switch to a higher percentage of car use in the modal split post-pandemic as the dependent variable. Our results go in line with a wide body of research indicating the persistence of negative mobility changes in the post-covid era.
