A novel 2-bit 2.5-dimensional miniaturized multifunctional active frequency-selective surface

A novel 2.5-D miniaturized multifunctional active frequency selective surface (2.5-D MAFSS) is proposed in this article. The structure uses two sets of the same gradual bending patches on the upper and lower surfaces respectively, and is connected with adjacent units. In addition, a PIN diode is loaded on the horizontal direction of the upper surface and the vertical direction of the bottom surface of the unit.By changing the ON-OFF state of the PIN diode, four independent working states can be achieved.At the same time, compared with the existing structure, the structure can achieve better miniaturization performance, the size of each unit is only 0.05λ
