Development and Application of a Maintenance-Free Respirator Detection Device

At present, maintenance-free respirators are used to replace traditional respirators in the newly-built and operating UHV converter station. Due to lack of breathing oil cup, the operation and maintenance personnel cannot directly judge the breathing status of the oil-immersed equipment in case of gas circuit blockage. For this reason, this paper uses the technical principle of the “electronic lung function” spirometer for reference to design a portable and convenient conduction detection device, which can detect and read the “breathing state” of the hygroscopic device through the sensing circuit and display the reading on the spot, to meet the use needs of the operation and maintenance personnel in the daily maintenance and acceptance work of the converter, at the same time, it can significantly shorten the detection time and improve the detection accuracy. Finally, a physical sample of the detection device is manufactured and installed on the rheo-exchange hygroscopic device. The effectiveness of its detection is verified by experiments.
