Analysis of the Reasons for Abnormal Display of Oil Level Gauge in Converter Transformer

Abnormalities in the converter transformer oil level gauge can lead to misjudgments by operation and maintenance personnel regarding the operating status of the converter, which seriously affects the safe operation of the DC equipment. To enhance the recognition ability of personnel for abnormal operation of the oil level gauge and ensure the safety and stability of the converter station, it is necessary to conduct an investigation and analysis of the reasons for the oil level gauge abnormalities. This article introduces the structure and action principle of the oil level gauge, analyzes the main reasons for its abnormality, and studies three commonly used detection methods to help personnel promptly discover abnormal oil level gauge displays. On this basis, further propose measures to deal with the abnormal display of the oil level gauge, providing a certain reference for it. Finally, measures for improving the accuracy of the oil level gauge are proposed from the perspectives of product quality supervision, installation process inspection, and daily operation and maintenance.
