Research on Automatic Control Simulation of Intelligent Magnetically Controlled Resonant Transformer Test System

Intelligent magnetically controlled resonant transformer (MCRT) for high voltage withstand test of electric equipment is proposed in this paper. The excitation reactance in a conventional transformer is designed as a controllable reactance with continuous adjustable value. As a result, the MCRT can resonant with the capacitive electric equipment during the high voltage withstand test, which led to very small test current fed from power supply. The principle and the characteristics of MCRT are introduced and analyzed through numerical simulations. Taking the minimum reactive power at the power supply side as the target, the automatic excitation regulation of the intelligent magnetic control resonant transformer during the step-up process is realized through PI control, which provides a simulation basis for the subsequent realization of one-key intelligent test of the device.
