Homogeneous Grouping of e-Learners based on Felder-Silverman Model of their Learning Style

Learning in an electronic environment has more capabilities than face-to-face learning to adapt educational strategies and learning content to the abilities and needs of learners, in order to reduce the costs of personalizing education in which there is a teacher for each lesson and each learner, from Instructional customization is used in which learners are grouped together based on similar characteristics. There are several criteria for grouping learners. In this article, the Felder-Silverman model learning style index is used to group learners. Learners are grouped based on the frequency and similarity in their learning style. and then the designed system is used in the e-learning environment to implement customized training. By comparing the results of the test and control groups, the effectiveness of the proposed grouping method has been determined, so that in the dimension of academic success, the weighted average of the scores of the experimental group is 17.65 and for the control group, 12.6, and in the dimension of academic satisfaction, satisfaction with the training course. 67% for the experimental groups and 37% for the control group.
