Review of DC Pooling Technology for Photovoltaic Power Generation

With the rapid development of new energy generation technology, the capacity of centralized photovoltaic power plants and the penetration rate of distributed photovoltaic power generation show a rapid growth momentum. The inverter-based AC PV grid-connected technology has disadvantages such as poor stability, low efficiency and poor power quality, while the DC convergence technology based on DC power conversion can overcome these problems of AC grid-connected technology and has good development prospects. This paper discusses the scheme of DC pooling technology for photovoltaic power generation and highlights the typical power converter topologies, control and protection strategies of the system. Finally, the future development direction and related issues of DC pooling technology for photovoltaic power generation are explained.
