Design and Simulation of Cascode Current reuse low power Operational transconductance amplifier

Demand for the low-power operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) circuit designs are increasing in analog systems with a major focus on reducing power consumption with desired overall performance. However, achieving low-power operation with improved values of other performance metrics is a crucial task in CMOS technology. In this work, current reuse cascode OTA is deigned in $0.18 \mu \mathrm{m}$ CMOS technology which works at $\pm 0.5 \mathrm{~V}$. The reported OTA delivers power dissipation of 0.337 $\mu \mathrm{W}$, gain of $70.13 \mathrm{~dB}$, gain-bandwidth of 25 kHz, input referred noise of $0.192 \mu \mathrm{V} / \sqrt{} \mathrm{Hz}$, output voltage swing of -365.1 mV to 365.1 mV, common mode rejection ratio of $98 \mathrm{~dB}$, power supply rejection ratio of $80.53 \mathrm{~dB}$, and Figure of merit of 1261.12. Further, the proposed OTA delivers positive and negative slew rates of $1.55 \mathrm{kV} / \mathrm{s}$ and $1.48 \mathrm{kV} / \mathrm{s}$, respectively. The proposed current reuse cascode OTA is projected to be used in medical acquisition systems.
