Multiband Tree shaped Microstrip Antenna for Satellite Communication

In this paper, a multiband microstrip patch antenna is designed that can operate at multiple frequencies, including 8.27GHz (X-band), 14GHz (Satellite communication), 20.2 and 24.3GHz (K-band), and 29.7GHz (ka-band). An antenna’s radiating element is supported by a 0.15mm thicker Roger RT/duorid 5880 substrate with a loss tangent $\delta$ of 9×10^-4 and a dielectric constant of 2.2. The antenna matched with a VSWR <2 in the five frequency bands. An antenna exhibits good impedance matching, radiation characteristics and gain across their operational bandwidths. This can be used for the applications of Satellite communications and radar.
