Area-Efficient LFSR-Based Stochastic Number Generators With Minimum Correlation

Stochastic number generators (SNGs) are extensively used in cryptography, computer simulations, and statistical sampling. This article proposes area-efficient and low-correlated SNG circuits by sharing linear feedback shift registers (LFSRs) with minimal hardware overhead when compared to prior approaches.
