IoT Based Smart Ventilator for Automatic Oxygen Flow

Oxygen is one of the essential needs for all the living organisms. In recent times, the need for oxygen has reached its peak due to COVID-19 situations. During these situations, oxygen supply needed has been increased and has become a mandatory need to keep the patients in a stable condition. Not only for the COVID affected patients, but also for the patients with respiratory problems, maintaining the flow of oxygen plays a vital role. Manual checking of the oxygen measure requires a person-in-charge all the time along with the patient. To overcome this smart ventilation system is introduced where oxygen is pumped automatically according to the patient's requirement. The smart ventilator comprises of sensors, whose output is given to the microcontroller which gathers the analog outputs of the sensors and provide a digital result. The output of the microcontroller is stored in the cloud for future reference and these results are displayed to the concerned doctor using Blynk source to get his approval for the suggested automatic flow of oxygen. Once it is approved, the specified oxygen level is automatically given to the patient using smart ventilation system. If there is any change in the body condition of the patient, the three sensors would indicate it and the situation will be acknowledged by the doctor as soon as possible. Thus, using smart ventilation, a patient can get the required amount of oxygen at the correct time and the oxygen will be utilized for the required amount only.
