Smart Driver Warning and Alert System using Visual Features

In the automobile industry, one among the major challenges faced is the implementation of preventive safety measures for drunk and drowsy driving. These are the major reasons for road accidents in the current world. Driving with tiredness can increase the chance of an accident compared to driving in active state. Hence, there is a need for a system that can assist and monitor the alertness of the driver to prevent accidents. Along with this, it is advised to use an engine locking system along with alcohol detection to stop the increase in traffic accidents brought on by driver's alcohol consumption. This research study aims to detect driver drowsiness using the visual features approach, as well as drunk detection using an alcohol sensor.
