4G RF systems on chip or on module?

The present trend in the RF communications is to integrate as far as possible the function within a chip. Obviously the cost of a function mainly depends on the number of external components. The matter of this paper is to evaluate the limit of the integration looking at the economic topics and technical possibilities.
