Selecting Lighting Controls for Optimum Energy Savings

Lighting controle are becoming increasingly aophisticated in the recent years, mainly due to dire need for energy saving and advancements in the solid state control devices. A user and/or designer oan hardly make proper choices of controls for his lighting systems unless he is thoroughly familiar with up-to-date lighting control technologies. This paper reviews all important types of lighting controls for industrial and commercial facilities which are available today, and provides guidelines for their selection in order to achieve optimum energy savings. In general, optimum energy savings leads to optimum cost savings, which have always been the bottom line for any lighting designer and/or user.
