Application of Low Cost Energy Efficient ZigBee Network Protocol To Develop A Cyber-Physical Intelligent System For Monitoring Mine Slope Health

This paper presents a prototype model of a wireless network system, using standard IEEE 802.15.4 (ZigBee) wireless technology to develop, a cyber-physical intelligent system for mine slope health monitoring. ZigBee is an open standard, low data rate protocol used for more reliable, low-power wireless networks, designed to operate at 2.4GHz frequency with 250Kb/sec data rate. Data transfer and communication systems are the first priority for safety monitoring. Here we devised the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) for communication and monitoring purposes, based on ZigBee technology with a digital accelerometer sensor for the mine slope, to resolve challenges such as safety and acquiring displacement and movement data of the mine slope mass.
